The traditional midwifery career path can sometimes feel a little… same, same. But what happens when a midwife decides to take a different road? MoM After Hours is an evening for midwives who are curious about what else is out there — and what else they could do with everything they already know. We’re bringing together some wonderfully unconventional midwives who have taken their careers in completely different directions. Think private practice, education, business, research, advocacy, content creation, leadership, entrepreneurship and whatever else happens when a midwife decides to colour outside the lines. Our featured speakers will get real about how they got there, the bits nobody tells you, the risks they took, the mistakes they made and whether they'd do it all again. There'll be drinks. There'll be food. There'll be plenty of questions. And, hopefully, a few moments where you think: “Hang on… I could actually do that.” You don't need to be planning your great midwifery reinvention. You don't even need to know what you want to do next. Just come with an open mind, a curious brain and a willingness to meet some midwives doing things a little differently.
